Q: Sku grid is not tracking items that are only store pickup only as OOS. Why?

A: Sku Grid always uses zip code 11101 when looking at US-based store availability (except for Home Depot which is 85018). When zip code 11101 is used, the item does not show pick up only as available, it does show that shipping is restricted to certain locations.

There is a new #skuopt option for items that are being shipped and sold by Walmart but are restricted from being sold/delivered to certain states. If the item states that shipping is restricted, then along with your normal #skuopt:walmart tag, you can add ::allowresticted or ::norestricted if you want to allow or not allow shipping restricted items to be considered in stock or not.

You can just add #skuopt:walmart::norestricted to the end of the walmart urls for items that are shipping restricted and do a recheck asap and force reprice them if needed.

We added this option so that those who want to allow those shipping restricted items can continue to sell them, while those that do not can have them treated as out of stock.

3 important things to note when using this option: The first is that when using this option, it is not possible to detect shipping as it’s not shown on the product pages for these types of items. And shipping is almost always restricted for these type of items to the 11101 zip code that Sku Grid checks. So, it would be a good idea, if you’re adding these types of items to Sku Grid to add your item to cart and determine approximate shipping.  Then override the item in Sku Grid factoring in whatever your shipping amount is into both your fixed and minimum margins, so that if Sku Grid is repricing your items, that your selling price gets adjusted accordingly.

The other thing to note is that if you edit the entry in Sku Grid, the drop down that normally shows the pricing option will display “default”. However, please note that the only purpose for the drop down is so that you can automatically apply the #skuopt tag to the end of your URL. But when using allowrestricted or norestricted, you’ll have to manually type them in. It is what is at the end of the url that matters.

If you’re using Sku Fetch to list your items, then you’ll need to add #skuopt:walmart::allowrestricted or #skuopt:walmart::norestricted to the end of your urls so that they export into Sku Grid properly.
