Q: How to bulk edit and place 8% tax on all of my Overstock items? I want to factor in an additional 8% of the supplier price into my selling price formula.
A: That is very possible, you have 2 options.
You can add an Override Formula to the Overstock Items in bulk.
1. Set your grid to view 1000 items per page
2. Select Overstock from the 2nd filter on your grid. This will display all items where overstock is the supplier.
3. Click Multi-Item Actions --> Select All on Current Page
4. Click Multi-Item Actions --> Add Formula
5. Define your formula and put 8 in the vendor tax field and enter all of the other usual values that you have.
6. Apply/Ok the formula
7. Use Multi-Item Actions --> Force Reprice Selected.
8. If you have more than 1000 Overstock items, click on Page 2 and repeat steps 2-7, etc.
Or
You can add an Additional Formula in Your Marketplace Settings That Applies to Only Overstock Items.
1. Go to your marketplace settings and go to Additional Formulas.
2. Select Overstock from the drop-down
3. A new box will appear. Enter your formula there that you want added on to your default formula from the marketplace settings. In this case, it would be (vendor_price*0.08) if you do not want tax calculated on top of shipping or (vendor_price+vendor_shipping)*0.08 if you do.
4. Save the settings.
5. Then go to your My Items tab.
6. Set Your Grid to View 1000 items per page
7. Select Overstock from the 2nd Filter on Your Grid
8. Click Multi-Item Actions --> Select All on Current Page
9. Click Multi-Item Actions --> Remove Per Item Formula (This will remove all override formulas and set the overstock items to the default formula from your marketplace settings and then your additional formulas will be allowed to apply).
10. Click Multi-Item Actions --> Force Reprice Selected
11. Repeat Steps 7-10 if you have more than 1000 items from Overstock and need to move on to page 2 and so on.
12. Going forward, when you list, if you want your additional formula to apply, your items have to be set to use your default formula from your marketplace settings. If you're using a listing tool, then you'd need to make sure that your default formula is the same in the listing tool as well as in your sku grid marketplace settings. Otherwise, the items will have an override formula and your additional formula will not apply.
