That only applies to when sku grid does its normal checking based on the frequency in your settings. When you force recheck or force update/reprice items, it's forcing everything, regardless of if there was a change or not.
So you can do Batch Options --> Recheck All ASAP. Give it about an hour.
Then Batch Options --> Force All Items to Reprice.
