Q: I'm having trouble with using the file exhcange sync chrome extension and remaining logged into file exchange.  Can I switch to using File Exchange via Authentication Token?

A: Yes, there are several benefits to changing to File Exchange via Authentication Token.

  1. It still allows communication with eBay File Exchange without the use of API.
  2. It does not require you to leave your computer turned on 24/7.
  3. It does not require you to be logged into eBay File Exchange constantly.
  4. You won't have to worry about File Exchange signing you out automatically or having you go through Captcha verifications.
  5. It's a more consistent way of communicating your updates to eBay File Exchange.
  6. This is a better option if you have VAs and do not want to grant them access to your eBay account.

Instructions to make the switch are below.

You can change your Sku Grid account to use file exchange via authentication token. Here are instructions for that --> How to Set Up Sku Grid to Reprice eBay Items Without API Access or Chrome Extension Using File Exchange Authentication Tokens

Then once you have saved the token in sku grid, you can go into sku fetch and change it over there as well -->> How to Set Up Sku Fetch to List eBay Items Without API Access or Chrome Extension Using File Exchange Authentication Tokens

***Only you will not need to get a new token for sku fetch. It should be the same as sku grid's. The developers have created a link in your sku fetch settings to pull the token over into sku fetch from your sku grid account. See screenshot -->> https://jmp.sh/PbFBRpE

So you can click that and then continue to configure the rest of the list & export settings on that page and try a listing at that point. Be sure to copy the settings from single fetch down to batch and big product fetch as well. This is done by changing the drop down that says Manual Entry to Copy Settings from Single Fetch and save.

Note: If you have multiple workspaces, you'd have to repeat the process for each in order to list.

You could also remove the extension from your browser at that point as it would no longer be needed
